Approach

I collaborate with clients using a wide range of treatment modalities in an attempt to secure the most positive outcomes. Below, you can review a number of the most common approaches that I employ during therapy.

contemplative

Contemplative therapy draws from a rich background of philosophical traditions that emphasize the healing power of stillness, emotional awareness, mindfulness, and meditation.

EVOLUTIONARY

Evolutionary psychology conceptualizes the human mind as an extension of the evolutionary process. Understanding the physiological interaction between our bodies and their current environment promotes insight and allows for thoughtful behavioral interventions.

Cognitive-behavioral

Cognitive-behavioral therapy helps highlight and call awareness to the various unhelpful, dysfunctional, and otherwise incomplete thought patterns that influence our behavior and decision-making.

experiential

Experiential therapy uses present-moment interaction and exercises to influence positive behavioral change. Some of the most common exercises I employ during session are meditative, psychodramatic and somatic.

developmental

Developmental psychology acknowledges the indelible impact that interactions in early childhood have had on our current functioning.
